Named “Ecosophia” to signify the natural environment (Eco) and (sophia), the greek suffix meaning “wisdom, knowledge, skill”.
In 2007 the abandoned farm with dilapidated greenhouses and a small dwelling in ruins, situated in an idyllic agricultural river valley between the town of Colares and the coastal beaches, began its transformation into an oasis for wildlife and a testing ground for alternative sustainable technologies and buildings.
We offer the opportunity to experience ecological harmony firsthand with a variety of activities, classes and workshops, in a beautiful natural setting.
All proceeds will go towards furthering projects and courses with sustainability and ecological living at their core.
